Benefits of Membership:
Continuing Education -Multiple continuing education courses are offered free of charge to Edmond Board of Realtors® members throughout the year to help them further their careers and increase their earnings.
Committees – A full slate of active committees is appointed each year. There is a place of service for every member!
Communications - A wide variety of information is available to each member from Local, State and National to keep you informed on all three levels of your trade association.
Lock Boxes & Forms – The Edmond Board of Realtors® offers a wide variety of forms and supplies to assist the real estate professional. In addition, we serve as a sattelite distribution point for lock boxes through the multiple listing system.
Government Affairs & Lobbying – Our "Voice for Real Estate" is sounded at the local, state and national levels through a variety of professionals. Locally, we have a variety of members who monitor and participate in local governmental activities. At the state level, OAR has a full time Governmental Affairs Director. Nationally, NAR maintains a staff of lobbyists who monitor every piece of legislation that is introduced at the Federal level. Our legislative efforts have managed to earn the respect of Federal law makers who seek REALTOR® input on many issues.
Legal Hot Line – Through your realty company you can call OAR’s toll-free number (1-800-414-3161) for legal information about real estate law, listings and sales agreements and other legal matters.
Meetings – A general membership meeting is held the first Tuesday of each month, 11:30am. The Program Committee strives to provide a wide variety of speakers and programs that will inform, entertain and challenge its membership.
Professional Standards – All REALTORS® subscribe to a Code of Ethics. The Edmond Board of REALTORS® offers its members and their clients and customers a vehicle to economically expedite ethics complaints and/or arbitration. requests without going to court.
Social Events & Networking – There are many opportunities to join your fellow members in fun-filled activities, community service projects, committee meetings and other gatherings. What better way to make new contacts and friends than to attend and participate in activities such as the annual fund-raising auction, the golf tournament, bowling tournament, affiliate appreciation day, and the inaugural banquet.
