Elaine Dodd is Vice President of the Fraud Division of the Oklahoma Bankers’ Association. She spent 22 years in law enforcement with the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics. She currently provides training and investigative assistance for banks statewide. She will also be sharing vital information about:

  • Identity Theft – how to protect yourselves as well as your family members with stories on the ID scams we’re seeing that are impacting Oklahomans statewide
  • Verification of information (including counterfeit ID, bills, checks, new accounts and loans with good sources for verification of all these)
  • Current scams and trends – internet scams, counterfeit cashiers checks, ATM fraud, quick change artists, etc.
  • Lotteries and sweepstakes, why they are never legal from other countries and red flags to help others stay safe
  • Internal theft

Effective Monday June 14th  the MLS office open hours will be as follows:

     9:00am – 5:00pm Monday – Friday
     9:00am – 12:00pm on Saturday

When you call MLS tech support from 8am-9am, you will get the answering service.  However, Adam, the MLS director, will pull any calls from the service and will be in the building every day at 8am to address them.  This will not affect the MLS user’s ability to get immediate help at 8am.  OKCMAR has been tracking member calls and in-office visits for more than one year and there is negligible activity between the  hours of 8am-9 am. At the same time Saturday hours have often  been brisk and are deeply appreciated based on feedback.

Staff will be onsite at 8am to answer MLS calls routed through the answering service. It is anticipated that this "reserved" time will be utilized to process pending member issues.  The MLS Tech Helpline can be reached at 841-5353.

P.S. You no longer have to go into OKC to get your lockboxes. The Edmond Board is currently serving as a satellite distributor for lockboxes. Call us at 348-3032 and we will have them registered and ready for your pick up!

What began 24 years ago as a means of retiring the building debt has turned into a tradition that supports the associations charitable contributions and functions. Thanks to everyone who organized, conducted, donated and purchased items.
