Good morning,
I hope everyone had a great 4th of July. The parade was awesome. You do not realize how many people come to the parade until you ride in one. Gordon Wynn did a great job driving for me and we had the Edmond Board’s banner leading the way. It was really a lot of fun. By the way the banner we had in the parade will be at our August luncheon and we would like for all of you to sign it and it will be sent over seas to our troops.
If you all missed the first work day at the Habitat for Humanity home you missed a good one. We had a good fifty or sixty volunteers there and drove a lot of nails. We were able to put up all walls inside and out before noon. What was so sweet was the new owner was there and she was so thankful. She worked right along with us. The dinner was great and I plan on going over there again. If you want to help just call Harriett at the board office or just show up. You will have a hammer in you hand in a New York minute.
Election time is just around the corner and you need to be sure who you want to vote for. Being a REALTOR® you need to look into the background of those who are running. If you need help in that area give me a call or call OAR and they will fill you in on whether they are REALTOR® friendly. If you have not given to RPAC please make out a check and get it to Harriett. In Washington they are working on a tax called VALUE ADDED TAX. I know RPAC will fight against it. More on that subject later. I hope you are aware of the changes in our business. You can go to OAR’s web site to follow what’s going on at the State Capitol and all the latest legislative news you need to know.
