Description:
Starting a career in real estate is exciting—but it can also feel overwhelming. This continuing education course is designed specifically for newly licensed provisional sales associates who want to establish a strong foundation and gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to thrive in today’s real estate industry.
Through practical instruction and real-world examples, participants will explore the essential areas every new agent needs to master, including:
-Understanding the Real Estate Marketplace – how the industry operates, understanding data, and where you fit in.
-Personal Marketing & Prospecting – building your brand, finding leads, and growing your business.
-The Qualification Process – identifying client needs and financial readiness.
-Negotiating Strategies – creating win-win outcomes in transactions.
-Financing Real Estate – understanding financing tools and investment basics.
-Real Estate Financial Documents – interpreting key documents with confidence.
-Duty to Account & Compliance – safeguarding client funds and following rules.
-Title Search & Closing Process – guiding clients through to a successful close in coordination with other industry professionals.
-Risk Management – avoiding pitfalls that can cost time, money, or reputation while staying safe through the process.
-Property Management – working effectively with brokers and learning the basics of management.
-Real Estate Code, Rules, and Disciplinary Action – knowing the law and consequences of violations.
-Broker Relationship Act and Parties to a Transaction - understanding the duties and responsibilities owned to our clients
-Contracts and Forms - knowing the real estate contract and forms is critical to successfully guiding clients through the real estate transaction.
-Professional Conduct and Ethics – Understand the expectations of professionalism and ethics in real estate practice while applying the NAR Code of Ethics to business practices.
-Fair Housing – understanding your obligations under HUD and upholding equal opportunity in housing.
By the end of the course, participants will leave with practical knowledge, a stronger sense of professionalism, and tools to launch a successful and sustainable real estate career.
**This course is designed to meet and exceed the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission required 45-hour post-license education for provisional sales associate licensees.
